The Cordiant holding has started producing spark plugs under its own Cordiant brand at the plant in Engels. Previously, until April 2023, these products were manufactured under the Bosch brand.
According to the manufacturer, the brand change will not affect product quality. The company has maintained its previous production standards, and the spark plugs produced comply with the national standard of the Russian Federation. The plant in Engels has established the production of various types of spark plugs, including products made of nickel-based and yttrium-based alloys, as well as more expensive spark plugs using platinum and iridium.
This event occurs against the backdrop of a general increase in prices for auto parts in Russia. According to industry organizations, the cost of components for car repairs has increased by an average of 20–30%.
