For the Digitalization of Siberia: Rosseti Laid 117 km of Fiber Optic Cable in Ugra

The new communication line connected the network management center in the city of Kogalym with five remote substations

Rosseti Tyumen has commissioned a new 117-kilometer fiber optic communication line (FOCL) in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Ugra. Construction has been completed on the 110 kV power transit "Progress — Tavricheskaya". The total investment in the project exceeded 400 million rubles.

The new communication line connected the network management center in the city of Kogalym with five remote substations: "Rosa", "Photon", "Non-Yeganskaya", "Progress" and "Tavricheskaya". These facilities provide electricity to the oil fields of Lukoil, including Vatyeganskoye.

Modern telecommunications equipment of Russian production was installed at the substations. According to the company, the use of FOCL provides high data transfer rates, resistance to interference and protection against unauthorized access. This allows operational personnel to receive information from remote sites in real time.

Part of the capacity of the new communication line can be leased to telecommunications operators for the development of communication services in the region.

The project is part of the program for the development of the digital communication infrastructure of the Rosseti group. Earlier, in July 2025, the company commissioned a 135-kilometer FOCL in the Omsk region.
