The BAGS ID self-service baggage drop-off system for domestic flight passengers has been launched in sector "A" at Sochi Airport.
The user simply scans their passport, obtains a boarding pass, places the suitcase on a special belt, and scans the pass. The system automatically weighs and measures the baggage, issues a tag for attaching to the suitcase, after which the baggage is sent for loading.
BAGS ID is already operating at the airports of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Novy Urengoy, and Yekaterinburg, and will soon appear in Khabarovsk.
The service speeds up the check-in process, reduces queues, and minimizes contact with staff, making travel more convenient and safer.
