Pulkovo Airport is testing a new artificial intelligence station called "BAGS Search." It significantly speeds up the luggage search process. Now you can apply for a search in just 45 seconds, which is 3-4 times faster than usual. The device also helps in processing documents in case of luggage damage.
The station was developed by the company "Aviakod." It is part of the "Airports of Regions" group. The system automatically recognizes luggage characteristics such as color and material, and also records damage and other details. One of the main advantages is the simplification of employees' work, as the data is entered automatically. In addition, the system is constantly learning, which increases its speed and accuracy.
The "BAGS Search" software system was launched in 2023 and is now used by 14 airlines, including Armenian Airlines and Belavia, as well as 62 airports, including "Samarkand." Currently, AI stations are installed only in Pulkovo and Koltsovo.
The company "Aviakod" has also developed other IT solutions for the aviation industry, such as the BAGS ID self-service baggage registration system and ARCute for passenger and baggage registration.
