AvtoVAZ has integrated a side airbag into the Lada Niva Legend model. A fully functional ERA-GLONASS system has also been added to the car. The new SUVs are expected to go on sale in September.
Representatives of AvtoVAZ previously announced plans to return the side airbag to the Lada Niva Legend back in the spring. Initially, it was said that the Niva would receive a side airbag in the driver's seat. In the future, it is also planned to replace the steering wheel so that a front airbag is built into it.
Lada Niva Travel received airbags in November last year.
