A powerful class M flare was recorded on the Sun. It lasted 72 minutes. This was reported on August 22 on the website of the Fedorov Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI "IPG").
On August 22, at 21:51 Moscow time, an M1.7 flare (S18E87) lasting 72 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range.
According to forecasts for August 23, solar activity will be moderate, and class X flares are unlikely. The magnetic field will also be calm, with occasional periods of instability.
Earlier www1.ru reported that another solar flare of level M2.1 occurred in a day.
