Rosstandart was asked to develop a GOST for tourist vehicles. This initiative was put forward by the National Association of Automototourism and Caravanning.
The national standard was called upon to include the classification of such tourist solutions, dividing them into towed motorhomes, chassis motorhomes, mobile commercial modules and caravans.
The organization called for the document to spell out requirements for safety, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, weight and dimensions.
The initiators asked Rosstandart to consider the issue of introducing a new OKPD 2 code for the category "Tourist vehicle" into the All-Russian Product Classifier.
According to them, the lack of a generally accepted national standard leads to the fact that manufacturers are forced to work in a legal gray area.
