The first Russian modular coiled tubing unit successfully passed bench tests. The event took place in Ufa with the participation of experts from leading oil companies.
The tests were organized by "United Testing Operator" LLC. The equipment was developed jointly by "PKF \"Geo Engineering\"" LLC and CJSC "FIDMASH". The unit is designed for repairing oil and gas wells. The coiled tubing unit uses a flexible continuous pipe (coil) to quickly and efficiently perform work inside the well.
Key features of the new development are a high degree of process automation and a modular design that provides flexibility in application. The unit is capable of working with large diameter flexible pipe and develops a tractive effort of more than 63 tons.
The next stage will be testing in a real well environment, which is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. As noted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the project is an example of cooperation between companies.
By combining the experience of "PKF \"Geo Engineering\"" LLC and the competencies of CJSC "FIDMASH" and with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, an innovative solution for the oil and gas industry has been developed. This project is a prime example of effective cooperation with the allied state and a joint commitment to technological leadership.
The development of this equipment is carried out within the framework of the list of products that are critical for the oil and gas industry and dependent on imports.
