Rostec Starts Mass Production of Rugged Computers: Operates at +70 °C

The development is in demand among law enforcement agencies and in various industries

The Rosel holding (part of Rostec) has launched mass production of rugged computers, the state corporation said.

The development is in demand among law enforcement agencies and in various industries — in the energy sector, as well as at enterprises with extreme operating conditions.

The product line consists of laptops, tablet and panel computers. The devices are designed to automate workplaces and can be used both autonomously and as part of local networks in mobile and stationary complexes.

Each product undergoes heavy mechanical and climatic tests, confirming the ability to operate at temperatures from -40 degrees to +70 degrees. The computers are also highly durable — they can withstand impacts comparable to a head-on collision of cars at a speed of 50-60 km/h.

The new computers use a domestic hardware and software platform. Now the holding is working on scaling up production
