Rosatom Renewable Energy (part of the Rosatom State Corporation) has delivered the first batch of components for the construction of a wind power plant (WPP) to the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. This was announced on the sidelines of the VII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum.
The Rosatom press service explained that nacelles, hubs, generators and towers were brought to the construction site.
We are moving according to schedule and expect to pour the first foundation of the wind farm next year.
At the end of 2024, Rosatom signed an investment contract for the construction of a wind farm in the village of Kok-Moynok in the city of Balykchy. This is the first Russian foreign project in wind power.
The capacity of the wind farm will be 100 MW. The start of design work and construction is scheduled for 2025-2026.
