Crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers can control Lancet family kamikaze drones, a feature of the combat aircraft was named in a publication by the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
Journalists recalled that a distinctive feature of the Su-34 from other aircraft is the integration with UAV kamikaze (Lancet) to increase combat effectiveness.
This makes it possible to expand the capabilities of hitting enemy equipment without crossing the radius of destruction by enemy air defense systems.
The author added that Lancet decoys can mislead operators of air defense systems who are looking for targets to engage. Pilot-Captain Alexander N. noted that controlling the Lancet during a combat sortie requires certain skills.
