The first footage of the use of new combat lasers by Russian troops has appeared online. The video was shown by the Telegram channel "Military Informant".
The footage shows a flying drone being exposed to a beam of light and exploding a few seconds later.
The anti-drone laser complex allows you to burn out the cameras of drones and neutralize them before approaching the target. Small strike drones can be eliminated at a distance of 2-3 km, and the range of destruction of reconnaissance aircraft is 6 km.
During the tests, the directed beam burned through a 1 cm thick steel sheet in 0.1 seconds, which is 15 times faster than previous indicators, the laser beam became more concentrated. The CEO of the development company clarified that the engineers created a more powerful installation with a new lens.
