Новый способ обмана: мошенники атакуют россиян под видом замены домофона

The number of fake calls has tripled since the beginning of 2025

The number of fake calls from fraudsters posing as intercom service employees has tripled since the beginning of 2025. Attackers use this method to lure SMS codes from citizens, which are necessary to access their accounts on the "Gosuslugi" portal and other services. Criminals use this method to issue loans and other documents in the name of victims.

According to Kaspersky Who Calls, the number of complaints about such calls has increased sharply. Attackers pose as employees of intercom companies and, under the pretext of replacing equipment, ask to report SMS codes. After receiving the code, they can contact the victims again, posing as representatives of banks or government agencies. The attackers intimidate them, claiming that loans have been issued in their name.

For example, in one of the calls, fraudsters tried to obtain passport data, promising to send an SMS with a code to receive new keys to the intercom. When the interlocutor began to ask the attackers clarifying questions, the latter got lost and the conversation quickly ended.

Experts emphasize that it is important to never report codes to third parties. It is necessary to be critical of any calls with a request to dictate the code and perform actions related to the codes only independently.
