In Russia, there is a renewed increase in the spread of fake messages about assistance with mortgages and payments for young families. This was reported by F6.
Scammers use fake news, disguising it as materials from well-known Russian media outlets, and actively spread fakes through Telegram channels dedicated to social topics.
The first such schemes appeared on social networks and messengers in 2024. Attackers refer to non-existent sites. Fake messages often contain the words "allowances", "payments" and "benefits".
Links from such news lead to Telegram channels involved in investment fraud. The entire fraud scheme is carried out in the messenger, without the involvement of third-party resources. Subscribers are offered to participate in surveys about kindergartens, vote for the best baby food and promise a refund for purchases of children's clothing. However, all these proposals only distract from the true goal — stealing money and personal data.
According to F6 leading analyst Evgeny Egorov, scammers have long used social support topics for their schemes. Their goal is not to help citizens, but to enrich themselves at the expense of gullible people.
The company's specialists strongly recommend contacting only trusted sources of information and double-checking data on support measures through official channels. You should not follow suspicious links and report your bank details or other personal information.
