The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) has signed a contract for the production of KMZJET-180 waterjet propulsors for equipping fishing boats. The devices are designed to increase the speed and maneuverability of vessels through jet propulsion.
KMZJET-180 waterjet propulsors are compatible with engines ranging from 70 to 250 hp and weigh 55.6 kg. The operating speed for efficient operation is 5000–5600 rpm. The products undergo quality control at the factory and are supplied with a manufacturer's warranty.
Key features of the KMZJET-180 waterjet propulsor:
- Torque transmission is possible both through a gearbox and directly through the shaft.
- The dynamic self-cleaning intake grate with a lever-pedal allows for quick removal of blockages without diving operations.
- The impeller and straightening device are made of stainless steel to increase service life.
- The inspection hatch provides access to the impeller without the risk of flooding the vessel.
Technical characteristics:
- Impeller diameter: 180 mm
- ICE speed: 5000–5600 rpm
- Engine power: 70–250 hp
- Vessel displacement: up to 1500 kg
- Propulsor weight: 55.6 kg
- Dimensions (L×W×H): 1070.6×305×344 mm (in working position)
- Transom tilt angle: 90°
The customer plans to install the propulsors on fishing boats to improve their running characteristics. KMZ specializes in the production of marine and industrial equipment, including propulsion systems and components for marine transport.
