New Coal Mining Capacity in Kuzbass: Construction Approved at "Taylepsky Open-Pit Mine"

Glavgosexpertiza of Russia supported the project to expand coal mining in the Kemerovo region

Glavgosexpertiza of Russia has approved the construction of new facilities at the "Taylepsky Open-Pit Mine" in Kuzbass. This will ensure the operation of the enrichment plant under construction with a capacity of 2 million tons of coal per year.

The "Taylepsky Open-Pit Mine" is developing the Karachiyakskoye coal deposit in the Novokuznetsk district. Mining has been carried out here since the early 2000s. The new site is located near the village of Taylep, and coal will be mined by open-pit method.

The project includes the creation of an external dump for enrichment waste, a fertile soil storage area, storage ponds and treatment facilities. The construction area will be 9.74 hectares.

The reviewed documentation presents solutions for the construction of an external coal enrichment waste dump at the "Taylepsky Open-Pit Mine", based on prospective production volumes.
