Western publications are discussing the possibility of installing a giant version of the Zircon missile on the Russian fifth-generation fighter Su-57. Military expert Vlad Shlepchenko explained why this idea would not work.
According to him, it is better to treat such rumors with a degree of skepticism. Shlepchenko recalled that "Zircon" is a ship-based missile, its size is up to 9 meters.
The Su-57 is distinguished by stealth technology, so installing such a large projectile on it "kills the whole idea of stealth."
In this case, the information that the Zircon missile could be adapted to the Su-57 looks extremely doubtful. The fighter may well receive this type of missile, but it is the "Zircon" that is simply a fantasy of journalists.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the rate of delivery of Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
