Advanced avionics and strike power have turned the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter into a real nightmare on the battlefield, according to aviation expert Roman Gusarov.
According to him, in a direct air combat, the domestic aircraft has a colossal advantage over the American F-16, the French Mirage or any Soviet fourth-generation fighter.
Su-57 is a universal aircraft. Previously, strike aircraft were divided into fighters, bombers, attack aircraft. However, the Su-57 can perform any task, including equally successfully using both hypersonic missiles and gliding bombs.
The most important difference from competitors is the latest on-board systems. Gusarov explained that AI is planned to be introduced into the aircraft, thanks to which it can be used with a group of S-70 Okhotnik escort drones. No one in the world has such technologies now.
