Design engineers at the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) have developed a flexible 3D model for designing the most comfortable cabin for the MC-21 aircraft, according to specialist Dmitry Babchenko.
According to him, developments in this area will help make the production of the MC-21 aircraft fast and efficient, and the aircraft itself as comfortable as possible for passengers.
The project is related to the layout of the passenger cabin of the MC-21 aircraft. The thing is, when designing an aircraft, it is impossible to assess 100% how successful all the design solutions of the interior turned out to be.
The designer added that previously all the shortcomings had to be corrected on the assembled model of the passenger cabin. The task of the specialists was to develop a 3D model of the passenger cabin, where it would be possible to monitor the degree of passenger convenience, change the seat pitch and their number.
For this, the model will include mannequins that simulate passengers. I think some developments in this area may be useful in the future.
