A federal-level Industrial Robotics Center will be established in Chelyabinsk at the South Ural State University. It will focus on training personnel and developing technological solutions for industrial enterprises. The creation of the center was made possible by SUSU's victory in the All-Russian grant competition of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Over three years, the university will receive approximately 319 million rubles for the purchase of equipment, development of educational programs, and implementation of robotics in enterprises. The project partners are the "Russian Robot" plant and PJSC "ChKPZ", and the center's solutions will be focused on their products.
The development of domestic industrial robotics reduces dependence on imports, strengthens technological sovereignty, and accelerates the digitalization of production, which is a key factor in the competitiveness of the modern economy.
