Belarusian manufacturers have delivered over 2,000 units of agricultural machinery to Zimbabwe. This was announced by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic to Zimbabwe, Igor Marshlov.
According to him, both Belarus and Zimbabwe are actively engaged in the development of the agricultural sector.
We have already jointly conducted two phases of mechanization of farms. In 2023, during Alexander Lukashenko's visit to Zimbabwe, the third phase was launched. Deliveries of combines, tractors, sowing machines, and various mounted equipment have already begun.
In addition, 4 service centers for Belarusian equipment operate in the African country. Marshlov added that farmers from Zimbabwe "are ready to buy and service our equipment."
In 2023, MTZ concluded a memorandum of partnership with AFTRADE DMCC. As part of the cooperation, it was planned to supply more than 3,000 units of agricultural machinery to Zimbabwe over several years.
Other African countries, including Sudan and Ethiopia, are also interested in MTZ equipment.
