Belarusian manufacturers have supplied Zimbabwe with more than 2,000 units of agricultural machinery. This was stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic to Zimbabwe, Igor Marshalov.
According to him, both Belarus and Zimbabwe are actively involved in the development of the agricultural sector.
We have already jointly carried out two phases of mechanization of farms. In 2023, during the visit of Alexander Lukashenko to Zimbabwe, the third phase was launched. Deliveries of combines, tractors, seeders, and various attachments have already begun.
In addition, 4 service centers for Belarusian equipment operate on the territory of the African state. Marshalov added that farmers from Zimbabwe "are ready to buy and service our equipment."
In 2023, MTZ concluded a memorandum of partnership with AFTRADE DMCC. As part of the cooperation, it was planned to supply more than 3,000 units of agricultural machinery to Zimbabwe over several years.
Other African states, including Sudan and Ethiopia, are also interested in MTZ equipment.
