Belarusian manufacturers of agricultural machinery have begun to produce combines with increased throughput (the volume of grain that a combine can process per hour or second). This will increase their competitiveness in the market, said Dmitry Komlach, General Director of the RUE "Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Mechanization of Agriculture".
According to him, the throughput of 70% ofGS12 combines produced by "Gomselmash" is at least 12 kg/s.
The production of GS2124 is gaining momentum, which will allow displacing the use of imported combines. With a yield potential of 100 centners per hectare for grain crops, our combines can work no less efficiently than foreign counterparts.
The expert emphasized that there are no problems with the supply of components for high-performance equipment. At the same time, he did not rule out the use of a "small percentage" of foreign combines in the fields of Belarus. Komlach believes that this is useful "for comparison" and for developing the potential of its own agricultural engineering.
In Belarus, the most popular imported grain and forage harvesters are Italian New Holland and American John Deere. German Claas Jaguar is slightly less popular.
Characteristics of the GS2124 combine:
- Engine - YaMZ-658
- Engine power - 530 hp
- Fuel tank capacity - 800 l
- Inclined chamber - chain-slat
- Reverse - hydraulic
