In 2025, companies from Chuvashia sent their products to more than 40 countries, including the African continent. More than 44% of all exports were machinery, equipment and transport, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic reported.
The main buyers are Kazakhstan and Belarus, which account for more than half of Chuvash products. However, local manufacturers are looking for new markets. For example, exports of tractors to African countries are growing.
In 2024, sales abroad exceeded $361 million, which is 36.8% more than the year before.
Agricultural tractors of various classes are produced in Chuvashia at the Agromash plant. In 2024, the company produced 164 tractors of traction class 1.4 with deep localization of the main units and components.
Cheboksary's Promtractor produces heavy bulldozer-ripper and pipelaying equipment, including tractors of classes 9, 11, 15, 20, 25, 35, 40 and 50. Since 2022, at least 60 units of special equipment have been rolling off the assembly line per month.
