On July 14, the national messenger MAX began testing the public channels feature. Federal media outlets and large companies were the first to receive them. By the end of the month, government agencies and regional authorities joined the platform.
On July 29, United Russia created its own channel. This sparked criticism from the Communist Party. Gennady Zyuganov stated that the ruling party once again has "individual preferences," as other political forces cannot yet open channels. MAX developers explained that the feature is in the testing phase. After its completion, access will be opened to everyone.
Other parties reacted more calmly. "A Just Russia - For Truth" expressed a desire to join the platform. The Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) declined to comment. "New People" stated that they would monitor the development of the messenger.
