The capabilities of the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) can be compared to tactical nuclear weapons, they allow striking within the entire European continent, according to military expert Mikhail Khodarenok.
According to him, the start of serial deliveries of the complex is a new step in increasing the readiness of the Russian military for any target at a very long range.
It is not yet clear into which unit the complex will arrive and which formations will be armed with it. In my opinion, these will be missile brigades of operational-strategic associations.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the first serial Oreshnik complex has alreadyentered the troops. The new missiles cannot be shot down by existing air defense systems.
