Roscosmos and the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are jointly working on issues related to the depressurization in the transfer chamber of the Zvezda module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station.
This does not affect the life support of either the ISS or our cosmonauts in any way so far. We are working through all the issues together with NASA, and there are no concerns from their side.
According to Roscosmos Deputy Head and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cooperation in Space, Sergei Krikalev, long-term observations have confirmed the ongoing air leak, but recent repairs have significantly slowed down this process.
All attempts to eliminate the leak, which became known in 2019, undertaken in recent years, have failed to fully resolve it.
