According to him, the combat elements of Motiv are equipped with infrared sensors that allow them to home in on targets with a thermal signature and penetrate armor more than 10 cm thick.

Shurygin said that the elements of Motiv are part of the cluster munitions of the Smerch, Tornado-S rocket systems, as well as the PBK-500 gliding bombs and RBK-500 cluster bombs.

Smerch and Tornado-S are formidable weapons in themselves. And now long-range rocket systems have also received "smart" individually guided combat elements.
