For the "Uragan" multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), new missiles with a cluster warhead have been developed for the first time in the world. The ammunition is filled with fragmentation combat elements, which has dramatically increased the system's combat capabilities.
The designers also created ammunition for the "Uragan" for remote laying of anti-tank minefields.
Most often, the military uses high-explosive fragmentation ammunition, which inflicts maximum damage to buried concrete fortifications, fortifications, and enemy armored vehicles.
The combat work of the MLRS crew takes only a few minutes. The artillerymen receive the coordinates, aim the launcher, fire a volley, and quickly leave the firing line.
The installation on a four-axle wheeled chassis carries 16 guides with 220 mm caliber rockets. A standard high-explosive projectile carries a warhead weighing 100 kg. The maximum firing range of the "Uragan" is 35 km.
