Chery and Haval Competitor: Flagship Seven-Seater Crossover "Moskvich 8" Arrives in Rolf Showrooms

According to preliminary estimates, the model will account for 15% of sales in the crossover segment

The flagship seven-seater crossover "Moskvich 8" has begun to arrive at Rolf dealerships in Russia.

Nikolai Ivanov, Director of the New Car Department at Rolf, noted that the new product is entering a highly competitive segment dominated by Chinese brands such as Chery and Haval. In his opinion, buyers are likely to prefer the maximum configuration, as it offers a significant set of options for a small surcharge.

It is obvious that it will be extremely difficult for Moskvich in these conditions. Our forecast is that the new Moskvich 8 will not become a volume-forming model within the brand. We believe that its share will be about 15%. This is our vision, which comes from the price positioning and the competitive field into which the new product enters.

The "Moskvich 8" is 4824 mm long, 1870 mm wide, 1756 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2830 mm. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 174 hp and a 7-speed robotic gearbox. Four driving modes are available: standard, sports, economical, and snow.

The design of the "Moskvich 8" stands out with a massive radiator grille, LED optics, 19-inch two-tone wheels and a single strip of rear lights, which gives the car a modern and stylish look.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the new "Moskvich 8" went on sale.
