At the «Moskvich» car factory, «Moskvich» sixth and eighth models will be assembled using the screwdriver method — large-unit assembly, despite the fact that in May the company switched to the technology of full car production.
«Moskvich 6» was first shown in March last year. Serial assembly of the car began in September 2023, and the first sales started in October. The car is a copy of the Chinese car JAC A5 Plus.
In April, the sixth model of «Moskvich» 2024 in the basic «Comfort» configuration could be bought for 2,200,000 rubles, and the car in the «Business» version cost 2,400,000 rubles. The engine and gearbox for these configurations are the same: a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a CVT.
«Moskvich 8» is a JAC X8 Plus. Production of the brand's largest crossover - length 4824 mm, width 1870 mm, height 1756 mm, wheelbase 2830 mm - will begin at the end of 2024. The car will be equipped with a 174-horsepower engine and a seven-speed robot.
The official cost of the car is unknown. Industry experts believe that the crossover will be offered in the range of 2.7 million rubles to 3.2 million rubles, taking into account dealer discounts for loans and trade-ins. A direct competitor to «Moskvich 8» is Chery Tiggo Pro Max.
Recall that the «Moskvich» car factory switched to full-cycle technology in May. Only «Moskvich 3» and «Moskvich 3e» will be assembled in this way.
