The head of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, held a working meeting with the heads of machine-building enterprises of the Tula region. Participants discussed infrastructure security, strengthening facilities against internal and external risks.
Currently, more than 45,000 people work at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of the region, of which over 10,000 employees have been hired in the last three years.
At the end of the first half of 2025, the industrial production index in the defense industry grew by 30%, and the total volume of shipments increased by more than 50%.
Many enterprises have switched to two and three shifts, which has allowed them to increase production capacity. Over the past three years, the volume of state orders at most enterprises in the industry has increased several times.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the flagship of the Russian Navy, the cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov," may be scrapped.
