It is assumed that the new drone will compete with the Russian Geran-2. The drone's payload is 18 kg, which is significantly worse than its counterparts. The flight time is six hours.

In a direct comparison, the American design is significantly inferior to the Russian Geran-2 drones, which have proven to be highly effective.

The American "Shahed" will also be launched using a truck or a jet accelerator. The device can weigh up to 600 kg and fly at an altitude of up to 5,500 m. The wingspan is from 2.5 to 3 m.

The Geran-2 is a modified version of the Shahed-136, adapted for combat missions and put into mass production. The drone carries 90 kg of payload against 40-50 kg for the original. The practical range is up to 2000 km.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the flagship of the Navy, the Admiral Kuznetsov cruiser, may be scrapped.
