PJSC KAMAZ continues to test new generation K5 trucks in real-world operating conditions. The next stage was testing the KamAZ-54901 LNG (liquefied natural gas) tractor unit in the vehicle fleet of TK Volga LLC. During a month-long test drive, the vehicle demonstrated high fuel efficiency, reliability, and comfort, confirming the potential of gas-powered solutions for commercial transport.
The model is equipped with a KAMAZ P6 engine (460 hp, Euro-5 standard) and an automated transmission, which ensures smooth running. Two cryogenic tanks with a total capacity of 1060 liters of LNG allow driving up to 1600 km without refueling, which is especially important for long-distance transportation. According to test data, fuel savings amounted to 70–100 thousand rubles per month compared to diesel counterparts.
Representatives of TK Volga noted not only the economic benefit but also the environmental friendliness of the model, which meets modern requirements. Drivers, in turn, appreciated the ergonomics of the cab, spaciousness, and ease of operation. Successful tests confirm the growing demand for gas-powered vehicles in logistics.
