Russia's First University Receives Innovative Supercam S350 UAV for Cadet Training

MTSTU Opens Laboratory for Drone Design and Repair

The military training center of the Maykop State Technological University (MTSTU) has received an innovative Supercam S350 unmanned aerial vehicle reconnaissance complex, the press service of the Southern Military District (SMD) reported.

MTSTU is the first university in Russia to receive such a complex. Training will begin in September 2025.

In the new academic year, we intend to improve the educational and material base, and we also plan to receive several new copter-type UAVs.

The training center prepares cadets in the following fields: "Senior Aviation Mechanic for the Operation and Repair of Gliders and Engine Installations of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles", "Senior Operator of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" for the Russian Aerospace Forces. A laboratory for the design, operation, and repair of UAVs operates on its base.

  • Radio link range — up to 100 km
  • Video channel range — up to 100 km
  • Maximum take-off weight — 11.5 kg
