S7 Group presented its new light single-engine Tango aircraft at the Innoprom-2025 international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
The Tango's fuselage is 90% composite materials. The aircraft can be used for training civil aviation pilots, and in the future, for sightseeing and tourist flights, aerial monitoring, and patrolling.
The four-seater Tango was developed on the technical base of S7 in Torbeevo. In September 2024, the aircraft, equipped with a Belgian-made UL Power 520is engine, made its first flight at an airfield in the Moscow region.
However, even then, S7 was working on creating its own engine of similar power. In February 2025, the holding presented the APD-520 engine at the NAIS-2025 exhibition, and the power plant is undergoing testing.
S7 Group plans to produce three four-seater light-engine Tango training aircraft by the end of the year, according to Evgeny Bulkin, head of sales at Spectra Aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru stated that thermoplastic materials will appear in the PD-14, PD-8, and PD-35 engines thermoplastic materials will appear.
