Metallist Company focuses on supplying components to manufacturers of high-tech prostheses. Traction products are offered to consumers, representatives of the company told "Perviy Technicheskiy" about the difference between them and bionic prostheses.
Since 2023, we have started an active modernization of production, released a bunch of new products - an updated hand, traction prostheses. We also have high-tech solutions - the Kometa processor knee module, which has been tested for about six months, carbon feet, various silicone products.
They noted that some new prostheses have an adjustment of the compression force, if desired, you can even lift a plastic card.
What is the difference for the user between a bionic and a traction prosthesis? In the second case, everything is due to the work of the muscles, the person makes a certain movement and the hand contracts. If you get the hang of it, you can play the guitar. But bionic hands also need to be learned to use, just like traction ones.
