Servicemen of the coastal missile unit of the Baltic Naval Base took part in exercises during which they repelled an attack by mock saboteurs on a field camp at night. This was reported by the press service of the Baltic Fleet.
Crews of the "Bal" and "Bastion" coastal missile systems (CMS) deployed a field camp, equipping positions for missile launchers. The training took place in the Kaliningrad Region.
According to the exercise scenario, a group of "saboteurs" tried to attack the camp at night. However, the on-duty forces repelled the attack and destroyed the attackers. The servicemen used smoke bombs and blank ammunition.
Simulation equipment for shooting and explosions was used to prepare servicemen for actions as intended in real conditions of modern combat.
In addition, the soldiers practiced changing firing positions of the CMS and camouflaging missile systems.
