Rostelecom has developed a new service to protect against telephone fraudsters. The company has launched an innovative service called "Anti-Spam for Calls." It warns users about suspicious calls on mobile devices. "Anti-Spam for Calls" analyzes information about an incoming call, determines which legal entity owns the number, and displays this data on the smartphone screen.
The subscriber has the opportunity to see in advance who is calling in order to decide whether to answer the incoming call. Call marking on the screen appears for all numbers, including those not in the subscriber's contact list.
Incoming calls are processed in a unified analysis system. Big Data technology helps to constantly update the database, including new customer requests and information from open sources.
If the tool does not find matches in the system during an incoming call, only the number will be displayed on the device screen without additional data. This means that the number is not used in spam calls and suspicious mailings.
The "Anti-Spam for Calls" service looks especially relevant given the active development of telephone fraud. With its help, the user can make sure who is calling him in order not to answer calls from dubious numbers.
All Rostelecom mobile subscribers can connect to the new option, except for corporate tariff users.
Earlier it became known that Rostelecom is discussing work on its own online video game store. According to experts, the platform will be designed for devices running on the Aurora OS, including the company's tablets.
