Unique emergency alert system via intercoms launched at Rostelecom

The technology will allow informing citizens with the help of sound signals

An innovative alert and information system for the population, unparalleled in the Russian market, was presented at Rostelecom. This was announced by Stanislav Korshunov, Director of the Rostelecom Key product office.

According to him, the system will use intercoms to transmit warning signals. Instead of a regular call, a pre-recorded message or siren will be played through the device's speaker. This will inform residents of apartment buildings, entire cities, or even the entire country.

Korshunov added that the development is integrated with civil defense and emergency systems. For example, in the event of a storm warning, residents will be able to hear an alert through their intercoms. The audio recording with the warning will be played automatically, ensuring a quick response to potential threats.

The system took two years to develop. It was entirely created in Russia. Rostelecom will be ready to implement it in various territories upon request. The system allows managing alerts with just one or two buttons, making it convenient and effective for use both in apartments and on the streets.
