Planned exercises of the Pacific Fleet ship crews have started in the waters of the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan. The maneuvers will be conducted under the command of Admiral Viktor Liina from June 16 to 30. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The video distributed by the department shows the corvettes "Gromkiy" and "Sovershennyy" (project 20380), the large anti-submarine ship (BOD) "Admiral Tributs" (project 1155), as well as the frigate of the 1st rank project 1155M "Marshal Shaposhnikov".
Servicemen of the Pacific Fleet will practice searching for and tracking submarines of a mock enemy, organizing anti-ship and anti-aircraft defense, as well as launching missile strikes against single and group targets.
Up to 40 ships, boats and support vessels, more than 30 aircraft and helicopters of the Pacific Fleet naval aviation, over 5 thousand military personnel and civilian specialists, as well as calculations of the BRK "Bastion" were involved in the maneuvers.
