With the start of serial production of the Oreshnik missile system, the missiles will be on combat duty. This effectively means that Oreshnik will now be on combat duty, said military expert Yuri Knutov.
According to him, Oreshnik will occupy an important position in the arsenal as a tactical-level weapon.
Given that the United States has withdrawn from the Treaty on Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles, the restrictions on the range of use have been lifted for us.
Now this weapon will be able to operate at longer distances than before - it is no longer necessary to limit ourselves to 5.5 thousand km, the expert added.
