The "Tallamho" Design Bureau (Grozny) intends to conduct combat testing of the fully automated "Ronin-2" turret with elements of artificial intelligence by the end of 2025.
The development is designed to combat FPV drones and unmanned aerial vehicles using fiber-optic control. The turret fires at targets autonomously — independently recognizes objects, aims, and engages them.
"Ronin-2" will be the first fully autonomous turret with AI designed to destroy maneuverable and small-sized aerial targets. Currently, constructive and software refinement of the system is underway.
The organization clarified that the turret already confidently recognizes targets at a distance of about 50 m, and it is planned to increase this range in the future.
The turret is adapted for use with both the Kalashnikov machine gun and civilian weapons — for example, the "Saiga-12" smoothbore shotgun. The system works most effectively in stationary mode — at object protection positions, bases, or checkpoints. Tests of operation in motion are still ahead.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "barbecue" for "Fagot" is not an obstacle: the Soviet ATGM became a destroyer of armored vehicles.
