The Dzhigit support and launch unit, designed to guide two missiles of man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) "Verba" or "Igla", increases the rate of fire. The advantages of the system were named in Rostec.
The state corporation noted that the development of the "High-Precision Complexes" holding is a light platform for installing a pair of MANPADS launchers, equipped with special devices and a gunner-operator's seat.
The advantages of this launch platform include increased rate of fire due to the increased number of launch tubes, a higher probability of hitting targets, it is 1.5 times higher compared to a conventional "single" MANPADS, compatibility with a night sight, providing round-the-clock use, identification of flying objects "friend or foe".
"Dzhigit" also provides a guidance angle in azimuth of 360 degrees, and vertical guidance angles - from -15 to +60 degrees.
