Ministry of Internal Affairs representative Irina Volk announced that the numbers of subscribers who rent their accounts to fraudsters will be blocked. She also noted that attackers are increasingly gaining access to profiles on a popular messaging service by offering monetary rewards.
To prevent and suppress instances of remote fraud, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with interested departments, has begun implementing measures to suspend the provision of communication services to owners of telephone numbers that are used for illegal purposes.
