Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said that the numbers of subscribers who rent their accounts to fraudsters will be blocked. She also noted that attackers are increasingly gaining access to profiles on a popular messaging service by offering monetary rewards.
In order to prevent and suppress cases of remote fraud, the Russian Interior Ministry, together with interested agencies, has begun implementing measures to suspend the provision of communication services to owners of telephone numbers that are used for illegal purposes.
