Aeroflot, the largest air carrier in Russia, has proposed introducing mandatory purchases of domestic aircraft for all airlines if they gain access to foreign aircraft. This was stated by the company's CEO, Sergei Alexandrovsky.
According to him, it is necessary to regulate the ratio of Western and Russian aircraft in the fleets of domestic airlines.
Alexandrovsky clarified that the details of the proposal, including the number of mandatory purchases, require further analysis.
He emphasized that the measure will help accelerate the resolution of problems with new models and recoup the state's investments in aircraft construction.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the American F-35B borrowed a Russian idea from the last century for the function of vertical takeoff and landing.
