The coastal missile forces of the Russian Armed Forces are armed with "Bal" complexes, which are equipped with the latest navigation system for quick change of position. This was reported by the @izvestia portal.
"Bal" is designed to protect straits and coastlines, as well as cover naval bases. The complex has the ability to fire both single missiles and volleys of up to 32 subsonic missiles.
After reloading, which takes 30-40 minutes, the complex is ready to produce a second salvo. The range of the BRC is more than 120 km. Thanks to the latest navigation system, "Bal" can quickly change starting positions.
Tactical and technical characteristics of the BRC "Bal":
- Maximum firing range - 260 km
- Missile flight speed - 0.85 m
- Deployment time at the starting position - 10 m
Target detection range:
- active radar - up to 100 km
- passive radar - up to 450 km
