Russian specialists have modernized the ballistic missiles for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, according to military expert Yuri I.
According to him, this involves the use of radar decoys, which has significantly reduced the effectiveness of Patriot surface-to-air missile systems.
The Iskander-M missiles, which attack along a ballistic trajectory, have been improved and modernized. This involves the deployment of radar decoys, making it more difficult to predict the missile interception point.
Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev clarified that the update included loading additional anti-aircraft maneuvering modes into the guidance system of the 9M723-1 Iskander-M missiles, as well as entering dive modes at angles greater than 83 degrees at altitudes of 30 - 25 km.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the world's largest Mi-26T helicopter was deconserved after 12 years of storage.
