Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Kalashnikov concern monitored the infrastructure of railways in cooperation with Russian Railways (RZD). This was reported by the press service of the concern.
Specialists of the concern completed the task of Russian Railways for monitoring using civilian UAVs «Alpha-E», «Legioner E29» and SCAT 350 M on the section of the Oktyabrskaya Railway.
The UAV «Legioner E29» carried out aerial photography of railway tracks and the right-of-way with geodetic support at an altitude of 150 m and a distance of 21 km. This device is designed for aerial photography, aerial laser scanning, video monitoring and providing search and rescue operations and fire patrolling.
The UAV «Alpha-E» performed airborne laser scanning at an altitude of 100 m and a distance of 25 km. Compact unmanned helicopters «Alpha-E» are used for monitoring transport and energy infrastructure facilities, environmental control and patrol and security measures. Thanks to its ability to take off from any solid surface, including moving objects, «Alpha-E» can operate effectively in remote areas.
SCAT 350 M performed aerial photography with geodetic accuracy at an altitude of 200 m and a distance of 21 km. This unmanned aerial vehicle is designed for reconnaissance of the area and support of ground operations in difficult weather conditions. It is capable of staying in the air for up to four hours and is highly reliable and durable.
The design of the UAV SCAT 350 M is a flying wing of reinforced construction, adapted for parachute landing. With a wingspan of 3.2 m, it can perform tasks at various altitudes and cover a distance of at least 240 km per operational flight. The device can be equipped with a multispectral camera to obtain more complete information about the surface of the surveyed area, capturing data inaccessible to the human eye.
