To effectively destroy Lyutyi-type aircraft drones, it is necessary to use experienced prototypes of MiG-35 fighters. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
According to him, the machine is equipped with an onboard radar (RLS) based on the "Zhuk-M" waveguide-slotted antenna array, capable of detecting Lyutyi-type drones at a distance of about 45 km against the background of the earth's surface.
There is also an experienced prototype of the MiG-35, equipped with the Zhuk-AE AESA radar, capable of tracking up to 30 air targets in transit and issuing target designation to R-77-1 missiles for 8 targets simultaneously.
The involvement of MiG-29SMT, Su-30M2 and MiG-35 fighters equipped with R-73RMD-2 short- and medium-range air combat missiles is also likely.
The MiG-35 multirole fighter of the "4++" generation is a further development of the MiG-29K/KUB and MiG-29M/M2 aircraft. The fighter is designed to operate in high-intensity armed conflict zones in a saturated and echeloned enemy air defense system.
