The upgraded SKAT 350M unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), equipped with an improved engine nacelle, has received positive feedback from the Russian military. The reliability of the drone was reported by the Kalashnikov Group.
The engine nacelle, which houses the engine, has significantly increased the drone's service life. One of the soldiers noted that the updated engine nacelle successfully completed 180 sorties.
It is important to note that even 180 flights are not the limit for the new engine nacelle. As a result of improving its operational characteristics, the consequences of engine vibration have decreased, and the shock-absorbing properties of the UAV during landing have increased.
The SKAT 350M drone is designed for reconnaissance and support of ground operations. The flight duration of the aircraft is four hours.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec has delivered new Su-35S fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
